Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan lauded the new strategic level of partnership with the EU after the 6th Armenia-EU Partnership Council meeting in Brussels.
“We have elevated our cooperation to the strategic level, but this is not the limit of our ambitions. In March, the Armenian Parliament passed a law on EU accession. The message of today’s meeting is very important — Armenia-EU cooperation is entering a new phase,” Mirzoyan said at a joint press conference with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas and EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos in Brussels.
Mirzoyan said he hopes to see Kallas and Kos at the first Armenia-EU summit in Yerevan, which will be held in May next year, around the same time as the European Political Community Summit.
