Armenia and Kazakhstan will take all necessary steps to establish direct flights between the two countries, Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said on Friday.
“One of the main tasks is to establish direct flights between Yerevan and Astana. In this regard, we have concrete plans. I hope that the necessary steps will be taken in the near future,” President Tokayev said at a joint press conference with Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan in Astana.
The President of Kazakhstan said, this November, the first ton of Kazakh wheat was supplied to Armenia through the territory of Azerbaijan, this has very important political and economic significance.
"We have also agreed to strengthen our cooperation in the field of agriculture and to ensure stable supplies. By working in this direction, we have agreed to take all the necessary steps," Tokayev stated.
