Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Oljas Bektenov, in Astana.
Pashinyan and Bektenov discussed the deepening of trade and economic relations.
The Armenian Prime Minister stressed that despite the currently positive dynamics, the potential is actually higher.
“Because of transportation restrictions, we have not been able to make use of that potential. Now, new transportation opportunities are opening up. I had the opportunity to discuss with President Tokayev the issue of restoring air communication between our countries, and I would appreciate your support in that matter as well. There are active developments taking place in our country regarding air transportation, but the market is still in the stage of taking shape.
It would be very good if Kazakh companies showed initiative in this regard. We, for our part, will draw the attention of Armenian companies to these opportunities. Overall, the political, economic, and cultural atmosphere is very good, but there is an opportunity to do more. I am convinced that we will be able to jointly develop this situation,” Pashinyan said.
