Within the framework of the 23rd Autumn Session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, a bilateral meeting between the parliamentary delegations of Armenia and Azerbaijan was held in Istanbul on November 18.
As reported by the National Assembly, it took place based on the agreement reached during the discussions between the speakers of the parliaments of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Geneva on October 21.
During the meeting, the sides highlighted the positive role of the Washington summit and exchanged views on the agreements reached, the next steps aimed at strengthening peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the importance of parliamentary support in both countries for the process.
The role of parliaments in implementing confidence-building measures between the two countries was also addressed. Both sides emphasized the importance of constructive dialogue between parliamentarians within international organizations.
