On February 1st H.E. Varuzhan Nersesyan, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the United Kingdom, met with The Rt Hon Nicholas Lyons, the Lord Mayor of the City of London, Armenian Embassy reports on its Facebook page.
In the Lord Mayor’s capacity as Ambassador for the City and the UK's financial and professional services sector, Ambassador Nersesyan discussed prospects of strengthening cooperation between the City of London and Armenia in the financial, infrastructure, tourism and other sectors.
The Ambassador also presented the Lord Mayor with Armenia’s economic capabilities and attractiveness for investment, and the ongoing Democratic reforms in Armenia.
Ambassador Nersesyan also briefed the Lord Mayor on the ongoing blockade of the Lachin corridor and the dramatic economic implications it continues to have on the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh.
