“Dear guests, a lot has happened during these summits for me, and it is happening now as well,” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during his speech at the 8th summit of the European Political Community.
“For the first time in history, my first bilateral meeting with the President of Turkey took place within the framework of the first EPC summit in Prague. Now the Vice President of Turkey is here, in Yerevan, participating in this summit, and he is the first Vice President of Turkey to ever visit Armenia (referring to the visit of Cevdet Yılmaz – ed.).
The Presidents of North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the President of the European Council, the Prime Ministers of the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Croatia, Ireland, Andorra, Finland, Estonia, Luxembourg, Norway, Slovenia, Kosovo, Liechtenstein are visiting Armenia for the first time in history.
This is another reason to consider this summit historic for Armenia, not to mention the summit itself, which is the first European-scale event of this kind hosted by Armenia in history.
Dear friends, thank you for co-authoring this history for Armenia,” Pashinyan said.
