The Armenia-France relations are strategic, based on security issues. This was stated by the member of the NA Armenia-France Friendship Group Armen Khachatryan during the meeting with the delegation led by the Head of the France-Armenia Friendship Group of the French Senate Gilbert-Luc Devinaz.
The meeting held on April 21 was attended by members of the Armenia-France Friendship Group Vahe Ghalumyan, Babken Tunyan, Rustam Bakoyan, Lusine Badalyan, Zaruhi Batoyan, Gayane Yeghiazaryan and Eduard Aghajanyan.
Armen Khachatryan spoke about the close relations between the parliaments of the two countries, highly appreciated the assistance provided by the France-Armenia Friendship Group on various issues.
They addressed the expansion of the Armenia-EU cooperation during the meeting. The NA deputies presented the steps taken by our country in joining the European community. The process of EU visa liberalization was highlighted.
The guests were presented with details of the peace process established between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and the implementation of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project was highlighted, which, according to Armen Khachatryan, will contribute to the development of economic cooperation between Armenia and Europe.
The Head of the France-Armenia Friendship Group, expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, spoke about the high-level bilateral relations and the opportunity of deepening cooperation in various fields, valuing the active role of the friendship groups in this matter.
