Reuters. Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa was welcomed by Britain's Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, at 10 Downing Street on Tuesday (March 31).
Al-Sharaa's visit to London marks the first time the leader has been in the country since Britain removed sanctions against him in a move to renew diplomatic ties.
President al‑Sharaa’s London trip follows an official visit to Germany, during which he met with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, President Frank‑Walter Steinmeier and other senior government officials.
