Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and U.S. Vice President JD Vance have signed the Strategic Partnership Charter in Baku.
Aliyev said that relations between the United States and Azerbaijan are thus entering an entirely new phase. The Azerbaijani president thanked U.S. President Donald Trump for his contribution to peace in the South Caucasus, adding that Armenia and Azerbaijan have been living in peace for six months and have begun trade.
Vance, in turn, noted that the U.S. president is keen to work closely with Azerbaijan.
Armenia and U.S. signed similar charter on January 14, 2025.
