Iranian media have showed more footage of pro-government rallies from various cities including a large one in Tehran with thousands attending, Al Jazeera reports.
State-run agencies played video of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian attending the rally in the capital.
He’s seen greeting flag-waving citizens while marching on the street among them. Pezeshkian earlier urged Iranians to join a “national resistance march” on Monday to denounce the deadly violence that began two weeks ago.
Iran’s president has pledged to address mounting economic grievances in the country, saying his government is “ready to listen” to protesters while also urging them to prevent “rioters” and “terrorist elements” from wreaking havoc.
