Tehran Mayor Alireza Zakani commented on the actions of protesters in the capital.
“They (the protesters) attacked hospitals and two medical centers, 26 banks, 25 mosques, Basij bases, and law enforcement facilities with the aim of sowing chaos and creating a false impression.
In addition, 48 fire service vehicles were set on fire, including eight heavy fire engines. Firefighters who attempted to extinguish the fires also came under attack,” Zakani said.
