UK Ambassador to Armenia Alexandra Cole has released a congratulatory video message on the occasion of the New Year.
In the message, the ambassador reaffirmed the United Kingdom’s support for Armenia’s security and economic development. The video was published by the British Embassy in the Republic of Armenia.
“Happy New Year. At this time of year, we usually take a moment to reflect on what we have achieved and what we would like to continue together in the year ahead,” the Ambassador noted.
She noted that in 2025, Armenia and the United Kingdom took an important step by agreeing to raise the relationship to the level of a Strategic Partnership.
“We also opened the UK Defence Section in Yerevan and welcomed ministerial visits, helping us deepen our cooperation.
We continue to support Armenia's security, economic development and capacity-building including through education, business, cybersecurity and human rights. The UK is working with the Armenian Government to help prepare for key moments next year, including the European Political Community meeting, parliamentary elections and COP17," said Alexandra Cole in her video message.
According to the Ambassador, 2026 will be a very busy year, and the UK stands ready to work with Armenia in support of peace, stability and prosperity.
“I wish you peaceful and joyful holidays and a New Year full of success,” concluded the UK Ambassador.
