Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said after meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Astana that the ties between the two countries have been continuously developing.
“The relationship has strategic significance,” he added.
President Tokayev also thanked the Armenian Prime Minister for accepting the invitation to pay an official visit.
“Today’s visit has a special, historical significance. Armenia is a reliable and trusted partner for Kazakhstan, and our relations are built on mutual friendship and respect,” he said at a joint press conference.
President Tokayev said that Kazakhstan has always maintained close relations with Armenia and the Armenian people, highly valuing Armenian culture and historical heritage.
“These values form the foundation on which we build our multifaceted cooperation,” emphasized the President of Kazakhstan.
He stressed that his official visit to Armenia in 2024, as well as the outcomes of the current negotiations, demonstrate the dynamic development of bilateral relations.
“Armenia-Kazakhstan relations have strategic importance. We have signed a joint statement, and this visit has opened new opportunities and pathways for cooperation,” said the President of Kazakhstan, highlighting Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s role in developing the relations between the two countries.
