The delegations of Armenia and Azerbaijan have paid reciprocal visits to the border regions of the two countries, the Syunik province of Armenia and the southern part of Azerbaijan’s Zangilan district. The Office of Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan confirmed the information to “Lurer”.
On September 5, 2025, under the leadership of Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and Azerbaijan’s Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev, delegations from the two states carried out reciprocal visits to the territories of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to the agreements reached in Washington on August 8, 2025, the sides discussed issues related to the delimitation and demining of relevant sections of the border, as well as the restoration and construction of necessary infrastructure and timelines for their implementation, with the aim of synchronizing actions in the field of communications.
The heads of the delegations also exchanged views on organizing the next meeting of the Commission on Border Delimitation and Border Security between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the State Commission on Border Delimitation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia.
