I had a very good phone conversation with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. French President Emmanuel Macron wrote about this in his microblog on X.
“I conveyed to him France’s solidarity against attempts to destabilize Armenian democracy. I also reaffirmed our support for his courageous efforts to establish peace with Azerbaijan and normalize relations with Turkey. Peace and open borders will be an important development for the entire region and an example for others,” he noted.
As we reported earlier, Nikol Pashinyan had a telephone conversation with Emmanuel Macron.
Armenia-France bilateral issues, as well as issues of regional and international agenda were discussed.
The Armenian Prime Minister thanked the French President for his personal contribution to the development of relations.
The interlocutors agreed to activate bilateral cooperation in a number of directions.
The French President expressed support for the reform agenda underway in Armenia and the peace strategy adopted by the Armenian Government.
