Reuters. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Israel has agreed to Trump's proposal for ceasefire with Iran. In a statement, Netanyahu’s office said:
"Last night, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened the Cabinet along with the Minister of Defense, the Chief of Staff, and the head of the Mossad to report that Israel has achieved all the objectives of Operation "Am KeLavi" ("With the Strength of a Lion"), and even far beyond that.
Israel has eliminated an immediate dual existential threat—both in the nuclear domain and in the field of ballistic missiles.
In addition, the IDF has achieved full air superiority over Tehran, dealt a severe blow to the military leadership, and destroyed dozens of key government targets in Iran.
Even in the past 24 hours, the IDF has struck hard at government targets in the heart of Tehran, eliminated hundreds of Basij operatives—the regime’s repression apparatus—and assassinated another senior nuclear scientist.
Israel expresses its gratitude to President Trump and the United States for their support in defense and for their participation in removing the Iranian nuclear threat.
In light of the achievement of the operation’s goals, and in full coordination with President Trump, Israel has agreed to the President’s proposal for a bilateral ceasefire.
Israel will respond forcefully to any violation of the ceasefire.
Israeli citizens must continue to follow the Home Front Command’s instructions until full confirmation of the ceasefire’s implementation.
Our hearts are with the families who lost their loved ones, and we send full recovery wishes to the wounded.
In Operation "Am KeLavi," the State of Israel has achieved tremendous historic accomplishments and placed itself alongside the world powers.
This is a tremendous success for the people of Israel and its fighters, who have removed the two existential threats to our country and ensured the eternity of Israel."
