Armenian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ani Badalyan posted on her X page that Armenia welcomes the ceasefire agreement reached between India and Pakistan.
"We welcome the understanding reached for the ceasefire between India and Pakistan. Dialogue is key, and hopefully the ceasefire will hold, regional peace could be achieved. In this regard, the int’l efforts for peace are also noteworthy, in particular as earlier announced by the US," Foreign Ministry Spokesperson stated on X.
It should be noted that relations between the two countries have sharply deteriorated after a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir in April, which killed 26 people.
New Delhi blamed Pakistan for the incident.
It should be noted that India and Pakistan, mediated by Washington, have agreed on an immediate and complete ceasefire. US President Donald Trump stated this.
"Congratulations to both Countries on using Common Sense and Great Intelligence.
Thank you for your attention to this matter!" the head of the White House wrote on the Truth Social page.
