There is no conflict between the government and the army. Guided by the fact that the majority of the population of the Republic of Armenia supports the current Government, the same picture should be and it is in the army, as the army reflects the people of Armenia. There is no problem in the government-army relations, there is a problem with one, two or three representatives of the army elite, Alen Simonyan, the Vice President of the National Assembly of Armenia, said at the briefing with journalists in parliament.
He described the statement of the General Staff of the RA Armed Forces as “illegal”. According to Simonyan, its illegality is that “the army cannot take part in political processes.”
“The law forbids it. Some servicemen should refrain from politics and they will refrain,” he added.
