According to Greek media, the country's parliament is considering the possibility of suspending the ratification of the "Memorandum of Cooperation" with Azerbaijan due to the war in Nagorno Karabakh.
The war in Nagorno-Karabakh has reportedly created a negative atmosphere toward Azerbaijan in the Greek parliament. "Currently, the government realizes that it is politically inexpedient to promote the ratification of cooperation with Azerbaijan", real.gr writes.
Elliniki Lysi (Greek decision) Nationalist Party MP Costas Hitas stated about Azerbaijan's attack on "our Armenian brothers" and called on the government to withdraw the Memorandum.
Nikitas Kaklamanis, deputy speaker of parliament from "New Democracy", said the speaker would make a decision after consulting with the government. "Nevertheless, I can say that my position is obviously in favor of the Armenians", Kaklamanis said.
