Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze declared January 17 a day of mourning. On January 16, a gas leakage explosion in one of multi-residential buildings in Tbilisi killed four and wounded eight people. Six of the wounded are children. One floor of the building has been completely destroyed. Other parts of the building are also damaged; walls are demolished, elevator doors have exploded.
