In Bikfaya headquarters the Catholicos of Cilicia responded to the question of “Orakarg” regarding the recent escalation in Artsakh. His Holiness Aram I regretfully underlined the 4 victims of the Armenian side, demanding adequate response from the international community. At the meeting with Armenian, Kurdish, Turkish, Assyrian, Greek, Yazidi, Zaza and Georgian public and political figures His Holiness reminded about the political history of Artsakh.
“It’s neither a revelation, nor a political statement, but Artsakh is legally and historically a part of Armenia. We, the Armenians, are the right holders of Artsakh, and the international community is fully aware of that reality. It’s not Antelias or Yerevan demanding self-determination, but the people of Artsakh who have an army, a flag, who live on their land and defend it. The international community sooner or later will recognize Artsakh's right to self-determination,” stated the Catholicos of the Holy See of Cilicia.
